What have I been up too?

Do you want to know what I have been up to in the last couple months?! I'll give you just 1 guess ....

I'm sure that you guessed right! Yep, there's a little bambino growing in there! And I do mean bambino and not bambina! I guess I'm a little late in making it official in the blogger world. What can I say? I was a little busy in May ;) Haha, no but I have had so much going on! Why didn't anyone tell me that your body doesn't treat you quite the same the 2nd time around?! I can't complain though- I have had NO morning sickness! I'm hoping that since I am now in my 21 week mark that it means I will continue with no morning sickness. The husband and I decided in April that since Natalia was now 6 it was pretty much now or never and what do you know... I found out I was pregnant on June 8th! We are really excited that Natalia will have a sibling to play and grow up with. Nothing beats having a sibling..I do believe that! She wasn't too excited that it was a boy at first, but got used to the idea really quick! Actually, the next day we went to Target and she wanted to buy, "her baby brother" pretty much anything that was made for a boy. That girl can shop! I'll have to stay up on my blogging game now that the secret is out!

Until next time,

Mrs. W & baby Roman :)

Who says marriage is hard work?

I hear this all the time - "Marriage is hard work." I have to say .. the husband & I actually disagree with this. Is marriage work? Absolutely. It is a constant work on communication, work on household chores, work on cooking dinner.. you get the picture! But is it hard work? We think not.

We had this exact discussion the other day when the husband was talking gossiping with his best friend on the phone and he mentioned how hard his relationship is with his girlfriend. He used the phrase, "it's just so much work."  Greg (the hubbs has a name!) hung up the phone and after sharing that statement with me we both agreed that if it's meant to be -- it should come fairly easy.

Now, don't get me wrong.. Relationships have their up's and down's. Greg & I each have little things that drive each other crazy. But true love love's the flaws and all. It's that simply. Greg & I adore each other. We are still in our honeymoon phrase and plan on it continuing for a very long time!

I felt like this was a perfect anniversary post about my dear, sweet, husband. We may be celebrating 2 years today, but i'm looking forward to 50 more!

I love you!

6 months? Um, hello?!!

I promise .. I have not been kidnapped by strangers! I have been kidnapped since my last post though .. by my husband! See, what I didn't tell you dear blogger friends is that Mr. W was deployed for most of last year .. I say most of last year but it was 11 months so really it was about a year! I was wearly about posting it online while he was gone, but now that's he home safe & sound - i'm okay with spilling the beans!

He came home the beginning of February & Natalia and I haven't really had much time to do anything else except love on him! I definitely had to adjust my life again to being a full time wife in addition to mommy, work and school! No worries, I think I manage just fine :) The only thing struggling to keep up? My poor lonely blog...

Don't you guys fret! I'm back!

I'm putting together a couple posts of pictures since January!

See you soon !!!

Follow up to come!

I'll do a follow up post soon .. but wanted to share something I saw. Totally love it!

We would like to recognize these often underestimated, unseen, and unheard heroes.

This is for the young women that are waking up at 6 a.m. every morning, laying out clothes and packing three lunches for those small precious children that they have been left alone to care for.

This is for the pregnant Military wife wondering if her husband will make it home in time to watch their miracle happen.

This is for the childless Military wife, living in a town or on a base alone where she is a complete stranger to her surroundings.

This is for the women that feel like a third leg when they go out with their friends and their husbands.

This is for the Military wife that canceled all her plans to wait by the phone, and even though the phone broke up and cut off every time you spoke to him you waited anyway.

This is a pledge to the women that cry themselves to sleep in an empty bed. This is to recognize the woman that felt like she was dying inside when he said he had to go, but smiled for him anyway.

This is for those of you that are faithfully in that long line at the post office once a month, handling 2 large boxes and 2 small children like a pro.

This is for that woman that decided to remodel the house to pass time, and then realized that she had no idea what she was doing and sighed and wished she had a little help.

This is for all the lonely nights, all the one-person dinners, and all of the wondering thoughts because you haven't heard from him in days.

This is for the sad Military wives, the angry Military wives, and the strong Military wives.

A toast to you for falling apart, and putting yourselves back together. Because a pay check isn't enough, a body pillow in your bed is no consolation, and a web cam can never compare.

This is for all of you no matter how easy or hard this was for you. Our soldiers/sailors are brave, but so are we.So the next time someone tells you that they would never marry a Military guy, don't bother explaining to them that you can't control who you fall in love with. Just think of this and nod your head, know that you are the stronger woman.Hold your heads up high, hang that flag in your front yard, stick 100 magnets on your car, and then give yourself a pat on the back.

Be proud to be the woman that you are, be proud to be a Military wife!

Isn't this the neatest thing ever?! I think so!

I love you babe!

Resol- say what?!

Who does resolutions anymore?! Not this gal! A friend of mine actually said that if she keeps her resolution longer than a kardashian marriage - she'll be happy!

Let me back track .. How was New years?? I've been kidnapped by my kindle fire .. I'm serious!
I think i'm up to 8 books that i've read since my husband Santa brought me this pretty amazing thing ;) Too bad school starts again next week and that will have to take my time up!

Natalia had a great Christmas as well. The way she lit up when she saw that "Santa" dropped off all those presents just for her. Oh, that smile just melts my heart <3

The night before Christmas eve my two of my girlfriends came over with their 3 & 1 year olds and we had dinner, some wine (of course!) and then the kids helped bake a birthday cake for Jesus. Seriously.so.cute! I have some pictures that I need to upload.. I'll get to it!

New Years was actually pretty quiet this year. I went to my best friends parents house where they had a small just family gathering. We have been best friends for almost 20 years so I count as family! Her parents were born and raised in Jamaica and came to NY and then VA when they were teenagers and her dad joined the Air Force. If you have not had home cooked Jamaican food ..... You are truly, truly, missing out on some pretty great food! Finger licking good!

What about you guys??

Love, Love

Christmas in 9 days?!

According to our hanging Santa countdown hanging on the wall .. Christmas is in 9 days! Really?! Is everyone ready? I'm actually done with all my shopping.. completely done! This is a first for me. I'm usually running around crazy on Christmas Eve at Target like a looney. I'm serious.. My poor husband will vouch for me!

In some aspects, I feel like this year flew by me. Although it could be that i've been so incredibly busy this year. I'm hoping 2012 slows way down. Maybe baby? ;) My mom seems to think I'm selfish if I don't give Natalia a sibling like I had... And she is 5. Good timing? We shall see!

In other ways, I feel like this year has slowly crawled by. I know, I know. Contradiction anyone?!

I can't wait till 2012 to make a post about everything that went on in 2011.. Trust me when I say that I've been so busy... Well you can tell by my lack of posts :(

In other happy, exciting, news. This cute perfect husband/wife combo to the side... decided to start trying for a baby! I'm so excited for my baby sister and her husband. They will be the PERFECT parents! Hurry up already! I need a niece or nephew to love up on!

In other news- Dear Commonwealth of Virginia,
Why must you have beautiful weather like 70 degrees one day this week and the very next day you give me 45 degrees?! Do you really like giving my allergies a run for their money??

Love,

Mrs. W :)
