"Runaway Bride"-- until now.

Yes-- that's what I've been called! Only because I was engaged once and cancelled the wedding about 3 months before my special day. Everything was purchased & we were waiting on the day--- until I realized even though this man was my best friend, he wasn't who I pictured as my husband. I broke it off and my friend eventually met and married the girl that was perfect for him.

Fast forward to years later (today) - I am engaged. Yes, again! But this time .. I am most defintely sure that this is where I want to be. So that's where we will start. My sailor (Greg) and I are planning our wedding for June 26, 2010. How we met & got together.. We will leave that story to be told over a nice warm fire .. or maybe our grandchildren one day!

We are early on in planning.. Well I say early, but according to my favorite infamous wedding website knot.com- as of today I am 200 days away from changing my last name! We have already decided on the date, the location (in maryland) and all the necessary catering decisions.. oh & the color (clover!)

Meanwhile, I have been asked a million questions from family members all over the world it feels like about the wedding. What flowers? Where do I want the rehearsal dinner? Who's in the bridal party? What do you want the cake to look like? What should I wear? Where's the honeymoon? How am I doing my hair? The list would go on FOREVER!

So family & friends - this dear wedding blog is dedicated to YOU! I will try to keep it updated on the status on what's going on with the planning and what decisions we are making. I'll even post pictures up from time to time!
